January 7th- January 10th -So, my last post for these was the 6th, but a lot has happened since then, and while I could have acknowledged each day independently I didn’t and this post is meant as a catch up. I’ve been seeing a certain craft idea circulating around the web about keeping a mason jar of gratitude, and I decided that was something that I could do here, just as easily. I’d rather have this digital record keeping of the good things from [...] So, here I am again the wayward writer. I could make apologies and excuses for my absence, but instead I am just gonna sling down what has been eating away at me for a couple of weeks now. About two weeks before school ended I get a frantic phone call from my baby sister. [...] Here I am again. Ya’ know this could be turning into a habit. I don’t want to jinx it though, so that’s all I’m saying about that. How is it at 40 I’m starting to finally feel at peace with myself. I’m finally starting to feel OK. I wonder when all these changes came about, but know I can’t really trace a time line back to when it all began. I grew up knowing there would never be anyone for me. The Dragon and I spent 4 1/2 hours waiting for this Doctor to come in and spend 15 minutes looking at him and asking a few questions. This would be understandable if we had been in say the E.R. or urgent [...] Normally I post poems that I feel a connection to, but today as a belated Valentines note to my beloved, I am posting the following lyrics.
